PLEDGE BY PREMIER FOR PSWs
The news story linked below speaks to the Province’s commitment to help with the challenges faced by PSWs. While it is short on specifics, it does show that the Premier is tying his party closer and closer to long term care issues which should mean that assistance should be announced within a reasonably short period of time.

Current COVID bulletins will not be posted on Fairhaven’s Intranet page. An archive of older bulletins will also be available at the same address.
MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORTS
We have included this information in bulletins before but, as the pandemic continues, we are all feeling a certain amount of pressure, anxiety, depression, etc. Please keep these supports in mind as the mental health of all of Fairhaven’s employees is of paramount importance.
Reference cards are available at our entrance/exit that recap the mental health resources that are available to staff during the pandemic:
- Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) – call 1-800-274-1611 or, after regular business hours, at 1-800-668-9920, to arrange a time that you can speak to a professional if you have the need. Website is https://www.fseap.ca/myfseap.
- COVID-19 Volunteer Therapists – a group of therapists have donated their time to help direct care workers get through this brutal time. Just go to this website to register: https://covid19therapists.com/.
NEVER feel that you shouldn’t take advantage of these resources. Acknowledging you need help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
