This bursary is available to recent graduates and students who are now in their final year of high school in the 2016/2017 school year, are enrolled in a Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board or Peterborough Victoria Northumberland & Clarington Catholic School Board secondary school and who have made lasting and meaningful contributions to the volunteer activities at Fairhaven. Bursaries of $250 (maximum of two) will be awarded to each of the successful applicants.
Students, who are considered eligible shall be pursuing post-secondary school studies at a recognized post-secondary educational program, have good character, and community service involvement. The final decision as to the awarding of the bursaries will be made by the selection committee, made up of individuals from the administration, employees of Fairhaven and the Resident and Family Councils.

Luke Payne was the 2015 recipient. Congratulations Luke!
The 2015 Bursary for Voluntarism was awarded on Thursday, June 26th. A small ceremony and lunch were held as part of the Teen Volunteer orientation day. This year’s recipient was Luke Payne. Luke was a volunteer in the summers of 2011 and 2012 completing 143 hours of volunteer work. Luke has been accepted into the Paramedic Program at St Lawrence College. Thank you for your volunteer service and best of luck in the future Luke!
