New Facility
 |
In 1998, the Province of Ontario directed Fairhaven to rebuild its 40-year old
facility to meet new provincial standards. Fairhaven's redevelopment
was a $25.5 million project that solidly supported by both the City
and County of Peterborough and offers the Peterborough community an
exciting future.
The redevelopment took place on Fairhaven's
18-acre scenic site in the north end of Peterborough. The
official ground-breaking was held in the spring of 2001 and completion
of the redeveloped facility occured in the fall of 2002.
